Sorry to inform everyone. But we have come to the conclusion that we are not going to be able to run the Baja class at this event. The track is not set enough yet to handle the power. An the safty bails an fenceing will not be up in time. We are hoping to have a test date for them soon. Keep you posted.
Sorry for any inconvence this may cause. Ron

hey Ron i here theres no 1/5 scale race because the person thats called the airplane guy who owns a hobby store got the wrong material so now its a sand pit that looks like a track and does not want it messed up for Sept. so we get axed two days before race day and this race was posted on HPI Forum so there will be people driving down here for nothing this isn't going to help getting people together to grow the sport but he will be willing to take my money in Sept he can keep his sand pit this is Bull SH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are u? 2 yrs old. Grow up and deal with it.
Do you realize how much work is going into this race
by people not asscotiated with the shop. This stuff happens. Would
you rather this decision was made sat or Sunday? It's dumba$$ posts
like yours that make people not want to get involved in helping out.
Are people out any money because of this decision? I will guess not.

I feel bad for the folks that have volunteered time and effort for a noble cause and
have to read that they have been crapped all over by a whiny two yr old.

The intention to the decison is for the better of the track and everyones safety. A lot of money has been spent on the construction and as we know 1/5 scales are very aggressive to any surface.

No to be rude but what happens half way through the first heat and the track is really chewed up? Do you run the rest of the day? Cancel classes? Just wondering if it's worth bringing something down.

it is a shame to cancel the baja class after all the hard work that has gone into the track.you would have had baja from Maine and nh. comming.i even posted on other forums to get people to come.there would have ben a good croud of baja there.good luck holding another baja class from now on..

I am sorry you feel that way. But I was one of the ones that was in favor of canceling the class do to no testing an no protection to the fans an other racers. I'm sorry This event is meant to be a fun time.

I get the whole Baja thing, but people have to realize that there is going to be the customary track repairs as with any club race. I have heard that if the track starts to get any damage the race is going to be cut short. Someone really needs to make a descision now because yes a couple guys with shovels and rakes will have to put in a little time to get the track back into shape. I would sure hope a little damage is tollerable considering the cause! I know I don't want to make the drive for that.
